Following the recent transition of the SDC Ophthalmology Biometrics business unit into Ora, Tom will report to Paul Colvin, COO and will support Todd Bonta, VP of Clinical Data Management and Kalyani Kothapalli, VP of Biostatistics to oversee the operational, technical, and financial aspects of clinical data management, IRT management, biostatistics, and programming at Ora.
Tom brings a wealth of experience to the table, having held various key positions throughout his career. From his start as a Clinical Research Associate to several leadership roles in Clinical Data Management to his tenure as the Global Head of the Data Analytics and Innovation Team for PPD/Thermo Fisher Scientific, Tom has demonstrated exceptional strategic thinking, adeptness in building and managing global high-performing teams, and a knack for creative problem-solving and risk management.
He has experience building a dedicated, centralized monitoring group, having served as a key thought leader on Risk-Based Quality Management (RBQM) at PPD. His expertise will be instrumental in guiding our organization through transformative operational changes as we continue to excel in the biometrics landscape.
