Visualizing the human experience of blindness

Working as a collaborative team, Ora Inc. and BlindCAN Film Festival came together to create The Blind Canvas Project — an initiative focused on creating new ways to understand the human experience of blindness.  

Using AI image generation software, we worked closely with individuals in the blind/low-vision community to transform their perspectives into expressive works of art. 

Through these stories and visual pieces, the goal is to help foster a genuine understanding of the lives and experiences of individuals living with inherited retinal diseases, childhood visual impairments, and other conditions leading to blindness.
