Board of Directors

William (Bill) Sharbaugh was appointed Chairman of Ora’s Board of Directors in September 2025. He brings extensive healthcare experience in finance, operations, manufacturing, and quality, gained through executive and board roles across more than three decades in the pharmaceutical industry. Mr. Sharbaugh serves on the boards of Launch Therapeutics, Inc., a late-stage pharmaceutical development company, and Fortrea, an end-to-end clinical research organization covering multiple therapeutic areas. He previously served as an operating partner to the Vistria Group from 2022 to 2025 and on the boards of Alcami Corporation and BioCare, Inc., both Vistria Group companies. Earlier in his career, he was Chief Operating Officer of PPD, Inc. from 2007 to 2021, held Global Development Operations roles at Bristol-Myers Squibb, and spent 10 years at Merck & Co. in clinical supply operations, sales, and manufacturing. He also served as a U.S. Army officer, leading a Patriot missile battalion. Mr. Sharbaugh earned a B.S. from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, an M.S. in the Management of Technology from the Wharton School and School of Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, an M.S. in Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance from Temple University School of Pharmacy, and an M.A. in International Relations from Boston University.
